Gold Quarter Eagle
Quarter Eagle gold coins from the United States Mint. These coins are 1/4oz varieties of the traditional American Eagle gold coins, first issued in 1986. These quarter-ounce gold Eagle coins could be considered an American version of the Sovereign.
The coins feature a walking Lady Liberty on one side and the classic Eagle on the other.
Older quarter-ounce Eagle coins were given a face value of $2.5 and were often referred to as 'Indian Head' coins. These modern equivalents though are classed at $10 Dollar coins, and are struck in 22-carat gold.
