Lunar Range
The Lunar range of Gold coins from The Royal Mint. Issued every year to coincide with the Chinese lunar new year, each range of coins features an animal representing that specific year. Twelve animals are featured in total.
As with other one ounce gold coins from the Royal Mint, the Lunar gold coin are given a face value of £100, meaning they are CGT exempt, as well as being VAT-free. The unique, changing designs of the Lunar gold coins also adds a numismatic element to them. This gives the potential for additional value on top of the gold content in future years.
