UK Currency Coins
Each year the Royal Mint issues a variety of different UK currency coins, with weights and designs not seen on the traditional Gold Sovereign or Britannia coins. These UK currency coins are gold variations of the change we carry round every day, and offer investors the chance to own something a little bit different from your average investment coin.
Below we have a mix of standard released coins and Pattern coins, which are early release versions designed to test customer demand. Classed as legal tender, and issued by the Royal Mint, these coins are both VAT-free and CGT exempt.
The gold UK currency coins will be instantly recognisable to our UK customers. The same classic designs that we carry around in our pockets, struck in 22 carat gold. Given the same legal tender status as normal UK currency coins, these gold editions are excellent choices for investors who want something a little bit different to the traditional choices.
