Gold Half Nuggets
The Gold Nugget coins were first produced in 1986 - one year ahead of the Gold Eagles in America - and like other bullion coins are made from pure gold. These coins are produced by the Perth Mint in Australia, and feature a kangaroo or multiple kangaroos as part of their reverse design.
Most mints produce half ounce variants of their popular products, as a smaller coin for investors who want greater flexibility in their portfolios, while keeping the classic design. Like its larger brother, the Half Nugget is made of pure 999.9 fine (24 carat) gold.
