The reverse design of the American Gold Eagle is the original design by Miley Busiek, featuring a male Eagle carrying an olive branch flying above a nest, or the new 'type 2' design of an close up bald eagle's head .

The US government guarantee the stated amount of actual gold weight in troy ounces. By law, the gold must be sourced from American mines.
