Silver Philharmonics

The Austrian Philharmonic Silver Coins are also known as Vienna Philharmonics or simply "Philharmonics". Also available in gold, they are minted by the Austrian Mint (Münze Österreich AG), and are one of the best selling silver bullion coins having sold over 54 million units between 2008 and 2012. FREE insured UK delivery.

Struck in .999 fine silver, its name derives from the world renowned Vienna Philharmonic orchestra, which is the central focus of design on both sides of the elegant coins.

Similar with the Gold Philharmonics, they are designed by Chief Engraver of the Austrian Mint, Thomas Pesendorfer, the obverse face features the pipe organ in the Vienna Musikverein's Golden Hall. The reverse of the coin depicts instruments of the Vienna Philharmonic - the horn, bassoon, harp and four violins with a cello at the centre.

Bought either individually or in monster boxes (containing 25 tubes of 20 coins), these are seen upon as an efficient way of investing.
