Silver Eagles
Guaranteed by the US Government to contain one troy ounce of 99.9% pure silver, and a legal tender face value of one dollar, the American Silver Eagle Coin is the official silver bullion coin of the United States and the most popular silver bullion coin globally.
The design shown on the obverse is adopted from the "Walking Liberty" design by Adolph Weinman which was previously also used on the US Half Dollar (1916 to 1947).
The reverse face displays the John Mercanti iconic heraldic eagle and shield, using its talons to grasp the olive branch and arrows.
The one dollar face value of the Silver Eagle does not reflect the coin's intrinsic value which is a lot greater and is dictated by the silver content and Silver Spot Price.
Silver Eagles can be bought either individually or in a monster box, containing 500 coins.
