10oz Silver Coin - The White Horse of Hanover (2021)

The ten ounce silver 2021 White Horse of Hanover is the ninth bullion coin in a series produced by The Royal Mint called the "Queen's Beasts". The Queen's Beasts are based on a set of statues which guarded Queen Elizabeth II during her coronation.

This beautiful coin is the ninth of a series of ten that feature the "Queen's Beasts". Based on the 10 statues which stood guard for the Queen's Coronation, sculpted by James Woodford RA in 1953, each one representing an emblem for the various houses in the Queen's linage.

This 10oz silver coin features the White Horse of Hanover. The horse is taken from the coat of arms of the house of Hanover, however when George I became King of Britain the traditional galloping horse was represented as rearing above the coat of arms to mirror the traditional depiction of Kentish horses.

The coin is fine 999.9 silver and weighs ten ounces (311.03 grams). The large size of this coin allows both the obverse and reverse designs to be seen in stunning clarity. Just like other British currency, this coin is exempt of any Capital Gains Tax and is available for either secure vaulting or fully insured delivery.
