Description

The 2024 Tudor Dragon Proof 2-coin silver set is a beautiful addition to The Royal Tudor Beasts Collection. This collection pays homage to the iconic stone sculptures that adorn the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court Palace, commissioned by King Henry VIII almost 500 years ago. Representing the Tudor's welsh heritage, the dragon is the sixth emblem in this collection.

This 2-coin set features two 1oz silver coins minted in 999 fine silver, both adorned with the same design created by the collection's artist, David Lawrence. The design depicts a dragon bearing a shield, inspired by the stone sculpture at Hampton Court Palace. The set comprises a proof mirrored finish coin and a 'reverse frosted finish' coin, beautifully presented together. Both coins feature an edge inscription that reads "HAMPTON COURT PALACE ∙ ROYAL TUDOR BEASTS," and the set includes a booklet that gives the origins and significance of the Tudor Dragon emblem.
