The 2023 Ada Lovelace £2 silver proof piedfort coin is a collectible tribute to Countess Ada Lovelace, the visionary mathematician and computing pioneer. With the inner portion made of 925 silver and the outer rim of gold-plated silver the coin showcases original input cards from the Analytical Engine and honours Lovelace's role as the world's first computer programmer. As a piedfort coin it is double the thickness of the normal silver £2 coin with twice the silver.

With a limited mintage of 750 pieces, this beautifully designed coin, presented in a Royal Mint box with a booklet about Lovelace's life and work, represents a rare and exquisite commemoration of British computing history.
