The set contains a total of 98.88g of 22-carat gold giving a total gold content of 90.64g. All The pence denominate coins are minted in 'rose' gold, while the £1 and £2 coins are an attractive two-tone design combining 22-carat yellow and rose gold.
The 2022 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Gold Memorial Proof Set brings together all the gold memorial coins issued by The Royal Mint to honour the life and service of the late queen.
As a tribute to the longest-reigning monarch in British history, The Royal Mint created this special memorial set that features the eight definitive coins of 2022, as well as the memorial UK 50p and £5 struck to commemorate the extraordinary life of our late queen.
Each coin is adorned with a privy mark displaying Her Majesty's birth year and the year of her passing. The portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clarke appears on the obverse of the eight definitive coins in the set and the commemorative coins feature the official coinage portrait of His Majesty The King by Martin Jennings.
This proof set contains 154.31 grams of 22-carat (916.7) gold, giving a total metal content of 141.46 grams. It is presented in a handsome presentation box and comes with a certificate of authenticity and full colour booklet.
