Description

This 2021 Gold Proof Sovereign 5-coin set features a Quintuple Sovereign (five-pound coin), Double Sovereign (two-pound coin), Sovereign, Half Sovereign and a Quarter Sovereign.

These proof quality coins have been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity.

To mark the 95th birthday of HRH Queen Elizabeth, for this year only, an additional privy mark of the royal crown has be added to the 2021 Proof Sovereign range. In addition, the Sovereign coin is specially made with exactly 95 mills around its edge.

The boxed Sovereign set comes complete with its own certificate of authenticity from The Royal Mint.
