2026 Royal Tudor Beasts The Royal Dragon Gold 1oz

The 2026 Royal Dragon 1oz gold coin, part of the Royal Tudor Beasts Collection from The Royal Mint, is the ninth release in a series commemorating the ten 'Beasts' statues at Hampton Court, symbolizing the families of the King's line.

Designed by David Lawrence, the reverse features the Royal Dragon, a symbol of Tudor strength and Welsh heritage, adopted by Henry VII, serving both as a visually appealing design and as a security measure against counterfeiting. The obverse side bears the official coinage portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings.

With one troy ounce of pure 999.9 gold and a face value of £100 the 2026 Royal Dragon 1oz gold coin is both VAT-free and exempt from Capital Gains Tax. Collectors are advised to secure their coin while stocks last, as the coin will only be in production for a limited period of time.
