Description

This is a Queen Elizabeth the Second Gold Full Sovereign, struck by the Royal Mint in India in 2013.

One of the most recognisable coins in the world, the British Full Sovereign is manufactured by the Royal Mint and struck in 22 carat gold (916.7 fineness). The coin features the traditional St. George and the dragon design on its reverse side, and bears the fourth portrait of Her Majesty the Queen on the obverse. The Full Sovereign weighs 7.98g and contains exactly 7.315g of pure gold.

As British legal tender the gold sovereign is exempt from Capital Gains Tax, potentially offering a significant tax saving when you come to sell.
