Description

This is a King Edward the Seventh Gold Full Sovereign, struck by the Royal Mint in London in 1907.

One of the most recognisable coins in the world, the British Full Sovereign is manufactured by the Royal Mint and struck in 22 carat gold (916.7 fineness). The coin features the traditional St. George and the dragon design on its reverse side, and the bust of on the obverse. The Full Sovereign weighs 7.98g and contains exactly 7.315g of pure gold.

Despite its age this Full Sovereign is still considered legal tender in Britain (with a value of £1). This could prove very beneficial to an investor, since it means that no matter how much the coin appreciates in value any profit you make on it will be exempt from Capital Gains Tax.
