Description

This is a Queen Victoria Gold Full Sovereign, struck by the Royal Mint in London in 1869.

The coin features the 'Young Head' design of Victoria on the obverse and the shield design featuring the combined coat of arms for England, Scotland and Ireland on the reverse. The lack of a mintmark means that this coin was struck by the Royal Mint in London.

As British legal tender the gold sovereign is exempt from Capital Gains Tax, potentially offering a significant tax saving when you come to sell.
