Description

The 2023 1oz gold Coronation coin is a special commemorative coin from The Royal Mint, created to honour the coronation of King Charles III.

The coin features the crowned portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings on the obverse, and the royal cypher of King Charles III encircled by a laurel wreath designed by John Bergdahl on the reverse. The royal cypher represents King Charles III with intertwined initials "C" and "R" (for Rex, meaning king) along with the numeral III at the centre. Above it, the Tudor crown symbolizes the British monarchy's enduring heritage.

These 2023 Coronation 1oz gold coins carry a face value of £100 meaning they are British Legal Tender and exempt from Capital Gains Tax. Limited to a mintage of only 7,500 coins, they are highly collectible and expected to be in great demand.
