Coins on Sale
for Collectors and Amateur Investors.

Gold.co.uk works in association with Realshopping Ltd, an established Online Trading Company you can trust. What’s a little quirky is that Realshopping AND gold.co.uk are both owned by Jack Gold (seriously!). New products and features will be added to gold.co.uk on an ongoing basis so please bookmark this site.

Gold coins, we believe, are a safe and pleasurable investment because gold will always retain good value over time, despite fluctuations, compared to other forms of investment such as currency which are much more volatile. Beyond this general statement we cannot, and are not qualified to, offer investment advice with reference to gold or any other commodity.

Some sites specialising in gold offer various alternative investment options such as Bullion, Gold Mining Shares, Gold Bars etc. We sell just BRITISH COINS, a great place to start if you are new to investing in gold and particularly if you are interested in specialist coins which are historically significant.

GOLD INVESTOR
For the Investor, we want to offer you competitive prices for Modern Gold Sovereign Coins.

GOLD COLLECTORS - Coin Value
If you are collecting Gold Coins of Historical Interest, you will always be on the lookout for a bargain. As with other scarce items PROSPECTIVE AUCTION VALUE may play a part in determining the value/sale price of any individual coin. Value might also influenced if a particular coin is thought to bear a date of historical significance.

22/24 CARAT GOLD COINS
22 carat gold contain 1/11oz of base metal, usually copper but occasionally silver. 22 carat provides a good alloy for gold coins offering protection from potentially damaging chemicals, and tarnishing. It’s also more robust than 24 carat counterpart, with a greater longevity. Modern 24 carat coins, however, carry the same amount of gold whether 22 or (purer) 24 carat. Canada’s Gold Maple Leave Coins are made in pure gold (24 carat) compared to most other 22 carat coins.
